How to Avoid Construction on Google Maps
Are you looking to find a shortcut in Google Maps so that you can avoid road constructions? If so, you’re in luck! You can avoid road construction by selecting Manual mode and planning an alternative route. These methods will allow you to bypass construction on roads you are already familiar with. But you’ll need to use the right filters to get the best results. Here are some tips.
Plan an alternative route
Google Maps lets you plan an alternate route to your destination in the event of a traffic jam, or any other unexpected circumstances. These routes can be viewed by tapping the three-line stacked menu at the top-left corner of any page or mobile app. You can toggle live traffic by hovering above the layers button. To see a more precise route, tap the highlighted alternate route.
To plan an alternate route to avoid construction, you’ll need to know how to read the map. It will show you both a default route as well as a list with alternate routes. Select the route that you prefer and click the blue button “Plan an alternate route”. Enter the number of destinations that you wish to visit, and then click “Add destination”. You can also add multiple destinations. These instructions are applicable to both mobile and desktop versions.
Plan your route around construction
It is possible to plan a route around construction using Google Maps. You can also send directions to your phone or email. If you have multiple people traveling on the same trip, you may be able to share the route. Remember to be careful. Before you begin your route, ensure that you check the traffic situation. You will find that roads are congested when construction is complete.
Open the directions option and click on the plus sign to plan a route around construction. A drop-down menu will open. Enter your current location. Next, enter the end and start locations. You can also guess the stops you wish to make along the route. Click and drag the destination addresses into the desired order. You can also add up nine destinations. You should ensure that the stops are on the exact same line.
